The Caribbean region is seen as a hub for foreign investors due to the rise of entrepreneurship and innovation-driven economies. However, the ideas that are being proposed by nationals are not born but borrowed from developed countries such as Singapore, China, European Countries and the likes of North America. Today, I was spellbound by the high level of imitation bombarded the region. For instance, the University of the West indies has adopted the innovative approach from the University of Singapore to gain an economic advantage by producing their own campus labelled bottle water. It was noted that the cafes on campus can only sell the bottled water that has the campus logo and mission statement.

I must state that, this is an excellent marketing strategy, however, these said cafes have the right to sell the competitors bottle waters such as Oasis, Blue Waters, Dasani etc... without the permission of the Campus Administration.
My Question: Does this constitute to innovation within the region and what negative ideas do it give young entrepreneurs?
